Like the pages of a picture-book coming alive before one's eyes, this piece draws inspiration from Marc Chagall's lively, exquisite illustrations of The Arabian Nights to create episodes from the most beloved and enchanting stories: the adventures of Aladdin and Sinbad the Sailor, the love stories of Jullanar of the Sea and Kamar, the magical journeys of Abdullah the Fisherman and the Ebony Horse. Fusing Double Edge’s intimate performance style with live, original music and daring circus arts, this spectacle brought to life a world at once surreal and magical, yet deeply human and close to home.
