“For Klein the possibility of theatre goes beyond the
stage...”
Louise Kennedy
The Boston Globe
"What I'll remember in the long run, though—embedded like
unexpected treasure in the antic exchanges of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, in
the dancing klezmer rhythms of Bruno Schulz's pipe dreams, in the fertile
stillness of the farm itself—is the passion and commitment of a troupe of
extraordinary artists for whom life and art have indelibly converged...."
Jim O'Quinn
American Theatre Magazine
Since the founding of the theatre in 1982 by Artistic Director Stacy Klein, Double Edge has undergone many transformations. At present, the theatre is engaged in its fourth cycle of work, the Chagall Cycle, and is developing its first touring performance The Grand Parade. In addition to its company and touring performances, Double Edge has created eight indoor/outdoor Summer Spectacle performances, based on classic works of literature, which have drawn thousands of visitors to the Farm from around the country.
