Rena Mirecka was the actress of Jerzy Grotowski’s Teatr Laboratorium (Laboratory Theatre) from 1959 to its dissolution in 1984. She performed in all of Grotowski's performances, including Akropolis, The Constant Prince, and Apocalypsis cum Figuris. In the beginning of 1990’s she settled in Sardenia (Italy) and together with a group of friends founded the International Centre of Work Prema Sayi. Based on experiences taken from the work in Teatr Laboratorium, Rena Mirecka conducts meetings and workshops for participants from all over the world.

Rena Mirecka will lead a 5-day intensive work session at Double Edge. This is a rare chance for a select group of artists to work closely with this seminal theatre artist in an intimate setting.
