Rural Initiative

The Rural Initiative cross-promotes art and culture audiences with small businesses to expand demand for our region's products and services. Through a gift bag filled with local products, this project increases the visibility of local businesses by publicizing their products to the theatre's audience and web constituency.

Double Edge and its partners (local businesses, farms, and specialty food producers) create products that are unique to the region and share similar values. The result is a partnership between local arts and local industry. To achieve this goal, Double Edge provides: exposure to our summer audience and increasing web presence, ongoing information and strategic campaigns from performances at the theatre center and on tour throughout the year, along with outreach to local, regional and national Double Edge Members.

Above all, Double Edge invests its hard-earned credibility, name, cultural presence, and close-knit relationship with thousands of audience members, artists and participants to promote the richness of our region.
