“They swung from barn rafters, tumbled, hung from netting, somersaulted, screamed, sung, chanted, played fiddles and drums…and alternatively amazed…confused, and delighted their audience... It’s [the performance] boundless ambition, force of will, and strength of belief are astounding...Nerve is what this theatre has, and energy in abundance.”

The Three Musketeers
2006 Indoor/Outdoor Traveling Summer Spectacle
In August 2006, Double Edge continued its annual summer tradition of creating a large-scale, spectacle-based, traveling performances for audience of all ages, with Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers. Spectators came from near and far to see this wildly imaginative original performance against the backdrop of Double Edge's pastures, bridges, pond and hills. With its breath-taking imagery and theatrical daring, including rooftop swordfights, larger-than-life puppets and traveling ambushes, The Three Musketeers was an adventure-filled addition to this annual spectacle series.
Double Edge continued its work on The Three Musketeers during a residency with undergraduate and graduate students of Brandeis University's theatre department in October/ November 2007, which culminated in performances of Dumas' The Three Musketeers at Brandeis' Spingold Theatre in November 2007.
